Untitled Fishing Game (WIP title) is my current attempt at creating an idle incremental game.

The inspiration comes from those battery-powered plastic fishing toys that spin in circles.

To catch a fish, a plastic rod has to be placed in the fish’s mouth with the right timing. The mechanism was designed to make the fish open and close their mouths automatically.

I love the simplicity of the concept, and the aesthetic was lovely.

The player starts with a rod and a fish to catch.

Every collected fish gives money, which can be spent to buy more rods or upgrade slots by increasing the number of available fish.

Rods can also be placed to automatically recast after a cooldown.

The goal is to make it very satisfying to watch dozens of fish being caught every few seconds and see the money flowing!

I gave the game a Windows 95 aesthetic to give it a unique twist.
